Funding for local charities and community groups

F

Local charities and community groups in the Northfield area have the opportunity to apply for funding between £500 and £20,000 raised by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Today the latest funding rounds for the People’s Postcode Trust, Postcode Local Trust and Postcode Community Trust have opened for applications. Between 14 and 28 February 2018, charities are being urged to submit an expression of interest in the funding, which requires basic details about the organisation, as well as a short description of the project they are proposing.

The funding is available through three different charitable trusts depending on the type of project:

• People’s Postcode Trust seeks applications for projects that focus on the prevention of poverty, promotion of human rights and equal rights – www.postcodetrust.org.uk
• Postcode Local Trust supports community gardens, play areas, wildlife and green energy projects – www.postcodelocaltrust.org.uk
• Postcode Community Trust focuses on grass-roots sports, arts, recreation and healthy living programmes – www.postcodecommunitytrust.org.uk

Charities and community groups in the Northfield area make an invaluable contribution to our local area, improving life chances and making Northfield a better place to live in. This is an exciting opportunity for groups in the Northfield area to continue this work through applying for funding for new projects.
