Northfield Pool and Leisure Centre

This morning alongside the Northfield Labour team I visited the site of the new Northfield Pool and Leisure Centre for an update on progress at the site. Local food bank provides food to 7500 people in 2017

In recent years, the rise in the number of local people requiring the support of food banks has been alarming and 2017 was no different. During 2017, the B30 Food Bank based at Cotteridge Church provided food to 7501 people, including 4350 adults and 3151 children. I now chair Healthwatch in Birmingham and Solihull, and the West Midlands Board of Remembering Srebrenica. I also work as a public affairs consultant. I am an effective community advocate and stakeholder alliance builder with a passion for human rights. I am a trustee of the Balfour Project charity and of Citizens Advice Birmingham, and a former Chair of Medical Aid for Palestinians.
