Tree planting in Kings Norton Park

T

Pupils of Kings Norton Primary School took part in a sponsored tree planting in Kings Norton Park last week.

The pupils, joined by staff from Deutsche Bank in Birmingham, helped to plant 10 standard trees and several hundred small trees. Local Labour Councillor and Birmingham’s Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing, Steve Bedser, was also there to lend a hand.

I was sorry not to be able to join them but I am pleased to hear the day was a great success.

Well done to everyone who was involved, and those who worked hard to make the event possible including the Park Ranger, Woodland Team, and the Friends of Kings Norton Park.

You can read more about the day and see photographs on the Birmingham Trees for Life website.
