Speaking on Palestinian recognition at Labour Party Conference

S

Speaking at the 2011 Labour Party Conference in Liverpool Richard called on the UK government to support the recognition of a Palestinian state at the United Nations.

Richard, speaking in the Britain in the World debate, said that it was time for the UK to get off the fence and say yes to the recognition of Palestine.

He also said he was proud that Douglas Alexander, Labour’s Shadow Foreign Secretary, has been clear that Britain should vote for recognition at the UN.
