Richard chases Rover Inspectors for a response

R

Approaching the second anniversary of the collapse of MG Rover, Richard wrote to the Inspectors in charge of carrying out the Inquiry into what led to this, requesting that they complete this as soon as practicable.

Richard emphasised his concern about the cost of the investigation and told the Inspectors whilst they should not compromise on thoroughness, that they should keep the expense down to a minimum.

The Inspectors replied to Richard in April 2007, stating that they are continuing the meet regularly with officials from the Department of Trade and Industry and that they are making good progress with their investigations.

The Inquiry was commissioned by the Department of Trade and Industry in June 2005.
